Describe: This painting is a suicide painting. The man who is lying in a bed seems to have shot himself and there is blood all over the right side of the painting. There are also a few spots on the floor.
Analyze: There are a few geometric shapes and the rest are organic. There are lots of lines that are horizontal, vertical and diagonal. The texture looks rough and 3-dimensional. The color is very dark and depressing.
Interpret: I think the artist was in a very bad mood and was expressing his feelings. He might have had a slight case of depression or suicidal thoughts. Or that was him after he painting the picture. The painter has an interesting way of expressing his thoughts.
Judge: I would never ever ever hang this painting in my house ever! It is too depressing and suckish. If you do hang this up in your house you need to get some help.

Melodrama
It is a form of drama that does not emphasis on cause and effect but exaggerates emotions, plots, and actions of the characters.Situations normally found in melodramas are music during the climax scenes and usually the dramatic piece ends with a happy ending.

SPRING BREAK 2011!
Spring break sucked this year!!! I did nothing fun and exciting except on Thursday night Taryn, Marisa, Lindsey, Kelsey, Jonah, Jacob, Dutch, Zach O and I all went to Buffalo Wild Wings. We ate dinner there and then walked to the mall parking lot and on the way over there I dropped my phone. Actually it fell out of my pocket and my kind friends Taryn and Jacob picked up the pieces to my phone. Since my phone is sooo indestructible it didn't break at all. Then we crossed Federica and went to Wal-Mart. Then Dutch and Zach O. decided that they wanted to be racecar drivers and got in a cart. Jonah was the driver. Jacob also joined them in the "racecar". Then a few moments later the parking lot watcher drove over to us smoking and told us to leave and that we were band from Wal-Mart. So we walked over to Target but it was closed so we decided to go to Shoe Carnival which was closed also and then we called our rides to take us home. That was pretty much the highlight of my Spring Break. I went to Knoxville on Sunday. My brother, dad, and I drove to Pigeon Forge. We went to the Nascar place there but when we got there the credit card machine broke so we waited for about 10 minutes and then grew impatient so we left. Then we drove around the University of Tennessee. When we first reached the campus we were on Gay street. That was the most exciting part of the trip. Then for the rest of the spring break I sat at home and pretty much did nothing except worked on my AP Euro homework that we had. This was one of the most boringest/interesting Spring Breaks I have ever had.

Neoclassical vs. Romanticism
I see a monster type thing eating a baby. It alomost looks like a human that is covered in a whole bunch of hair who is disturbed with himelf.
The artist used lots of shapes and lines. The color is very dark and dull. The value is dark.
I feel the overall mood is dark and depressed. I feel like the artist was disturbed with someone or himself. It looks like the artist was trying to display death and murder.
I would definately not put this anywhere in my house or room. It creates a negative energy and sadness.
This is Romanticism because it shows lots of emotion, the subject is violent, and the brushstrokes are very visible.
I see a man who has died from writing. It looks as if someone stabbed him or he took his own life.
The artist used many lines and shapes. Some being curved and some being straight. The value is light and the colors used are not very bright.
The overall mood is serene. The death of the fellow writer is sad but he seems so peaceful.
I might hang this up in the bathroom. But I am not the biggest fan of this painting.
This is Neoclassicism because the tone is calm, the techniques have no color or brushstrokes, and the composition only consist of one figure(person) in the foreground.

Right/Left Brain
I am 52% left brain and 48% right brain.
Your Right Brain Percentages
I agree because I am very logical. I am a concrete person because I don't like to think that something is right without an explanation. I have to see it to believe it. The left brain has to do with being logical, critical, and ordered. Being right brained means that you are creative and visual and spontaneous. I think this test was pretty accurate and I agree with most of it.

Mozart's Death
Mozart died from rheumatic fever. This means that he got a high blood temperature. A custom in those times was to drain his blood, and he might survive. He got weaker and weaker until he died. Others believe that since his last composition was a funeral dirge, the patron's messenger checked up on the song every week wore a mask. It is thought that while they were having tea the messenger poisoned Mozart so that they would receive his composition and claim that they wrote it, and rob him. Also, they have evidence that another composer may have murdered him. The other composer was jealous that Mozart had it all, so he hated him. And so they have letters and old documents saying the other composer wished Mozart was dead.

Modern Era of Art
The Modern Era was from 1863-1945. It was when Romaniticism reached its limits, diverse and experimental music began to emerge. It also changed when one artist, Eduoard Manet painted Olympia which was a portrait of a Paris Prostitue. Serialism went a step further and formalized the use of rhythm and harmony as well as pitch. The riot in 1913 emphasized on irregular rhythms. Then atonalism was a twelve-tone system and developed into serial music. It treated all tweleve notes with equal importance.

Self Portrait
1.) Wow I suck at drawing myself.
2.) My picture didn't look anything like me but it didn't look horrible.
3.) They are ashamed of what they drew or they are just shy.

Crazy LOVE!!!!!
The colors in this painting are very colorful! The lines are very dark and the texture looks three-dimensional.The shapes are all over the place and they are geometric shapes. The middle of the painting really pops out at me the most. I think the artist is trying to show how happy she is. I would definantely hang this up in my house because it makes me very HAPPY.

National Geographic
Pictue 1
This red umberella really jumps out at me with the women who is holding the umberella. I can not decide if I like this picture or not becuase it is different yet simple. I would give it the name Red Umberella.
Picture 2
The random piano is what is really different and jumps out at me. I like this picture because I like the water and the wildlife that is around the picture. I would name this picture Pelican Island.
Picture 3
The different lights jump out at me. I really like this picture because the lights are interesting and the houses look really pretty. I like the night scenery also. I would name the this Colorful Night.
Picture 4
Nothing really pops out at me. I think it all blurs together because of the colors that were used. I would name this the Walking Woman.
Picture 5
The random iguana is what jumps out at me. I like some of this pictue. The part I like is the background and the landscape. I don't like the iguana that is randomly there. It reminds me of a loner. I would name this the Lonely Iguana.
Picture 6
The art element that jumps out is the back of plane. I don't like this picture because there is not point to it. It could look cool but I think there could be more to it. I would call this the Alien Abduction.
Picture 7
The colorful bird pops out at me. I like this picture because it is very colorful and pretty. I would name this Tropical Utopia.
Picture 8
The snake blends in with the background so nothing jumps out at me. The only thing I like about this picture is the greenery. But I don't like snakes so therefore I don't like the picture. I will call this Mucus.

Extended Weekend
During my mini vaction, a very close friend of our family who was like an uncle to me passed away Thrusday afternoon. So that is where most of my weekend went to. But then on Saturday evening after the funeral I had to go to Marisa's surprise 16th birthday party. That even we all gathered at her house and surprised her. She was shocked and kind of mad that we all knew about it but didn't drop any hints off. It was really fun. During the partywe all sang karaoke and danced to some music. For her present I painted a canvas with a quote about friendship. We had so much fun and the cake was really good!!!! I played Apples to Apples for the first time and I thought it was pretty fun.

Prezi
Prezi in an online presentation site. It is different from Power Point because it is online and you can have more that one person working on it at a time. Three tips for first time users: don't move the pictures around, let one person set up the presentation, and be patient.

Think Fast
A time when I had to think on my feet and come up with something fairly quickly was when I was at the soccer fields and the whole team was running. It was very hot and humid outside. Our goal was to push ourselves for the last time before the season started to get 2 miles under 16 minutes. While we were running Katelyn May fainted while she was running. She couldn't breathe and since I was finished running my mile I went to the other fields to get her bag and inhaler. During this time someone had called the ambulance and both guys and girls team had stopped practicing. When Katelyn was taken away Coach Poole led us in a prayer for Katelyn. That is a time I had to think on my feet.

Christmas Break
Over Christmas Break I went on a Carribean cruise. My trip began when I boarded the Adventure of the Seas December 19, 2010. I boarded the boat in Puerto Rico. Then the next morning we were in St. Thomas. There I went shopping and to the beach. The water was very cold there. The next day we were in St. Martin and we toured the Dutch and French side of the island. I also went snorkeling later that day. The third day we were in Grenada also known as St. George. In Grenada we went up the mountains and through the city. We saw a waterfall. It was drizzling that day so we could not do much. The last port of call we went to was St. Lucia. While we were there it would not stop raining so we weren't able to explore the island so we just shopped in the area near the dock. On Christmas day it was a sea day so we had to stay on board. During Christmas day I saw the internatioanl ice skaters perform and Santa came to the boat on a little boat. Later that day we scrap booked our trip. The last day was the day we had to say goodbye. It was quite depressing. Then we stayed two days in Ponce which is in Puerto Rico. There I played beach volleyball, swam, played tennis, and soccer. That is what concluded my trip.
